You told yourself you’d stop overthinking, but your mind won’t slow down and the self-doubt keeps looping. I get it and I can help!
My name is Brittany Roberts and I am the founder and creator of My Haven Christian Counseling & Coaching, LLC. I am a licensed professional counselor providing virtual therapy for women in Virginia and North Carolina.
My work as a therapist is extremely important to me and I am confident that God has called and equipped me to do this work! John 15:5 tells us, “apart from Him we can do nothing” and I wholeheartedly believe that I could not do this work without Him.
Fun Facts about me!
I’m a huge fan of journaling and deeper reflection so you bet I will encourage you to do some journaling in, during, or after our sessions :)
I’m often writing and have published 2 books! Currently working on book 3 and 4! My books typically include some combination of faith, encouragement, and mental health.
I’m Gen Z, and yes I may need help with some of your references (LOL). I may or may not lovingly roll my eyes if you mention something you heard from Tiktok, HA! I’m a proud auntie and plant mom!
I enjoy singing and yes, I have a playlist for everything! If it’s a musical I more than likely know the whole soundtrack :) I love to worship. I also love me some Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Adele, to name a few.
I’m a big iced coffer lover, love a good steak, Reese’s anything is my favorite, I crave hibachi a little more than usual, and I love scenic views.
I use to be a chronic people-pleaser and silenced by insecurity and low self-esteem, now I loveeeee helping women overcome them as well! I will absolutely be your #2 cheerleader because you are awesome (you just may not know it yet).
I am currently licensed to practice counseling in the state of Virginia (#0701014434) and North Carolina (#22389). I am also certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I received my Bachelor’s degree from James Madison University (2017) and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University (2021). Much of my most recent experience has included working with the young adult population in a college setting. Prior to this I worked with children, adults, and couples, as well as facilitated group therapy in various settings.

VALUES STATEMENT
As a licensed therapist and the founder of a Christian counseling private practice, my faith is a foundational part of who I am. It shapes my values of empathy, integrity, and hope.
While I counsel from a Christian worldview, I warmly welcome clients from all walks of life. You do not need to share my same faith to work with me. I will never impose my beliefs, and our work together will always be centered around your needs, your story, and your goals.
What I love…
I love having the opportunity to walk with you as you navigate various life challenges and stressors while providing guidance, support, and encouragement along the way. I take a flexible, personalized approach to therapy that’s built on trust and understanding. This means I focus on creating a strong, supportive relationship while also helping you identify what’s getting in the way of your goals—and working together to find practical ways forward.
I am passionate about helping women who are struggling with identity and self-esteem, women who are tired of being held back, the mom who is feeling anxious, the friend who is feeling depressed and worthless, the wife who feels misunderstood, the daughter who is frustrated and feeling stuck, or the sister who is struggling in her walk with God.
And while this isn’t an exhaustive list, I want you to know that no matter what brought you here, there is space for you…
Process and explore painful and/or impactful experiences
Confront narratives, cycles, and patterns that have held you for too long
Explore what may not be working well/what you would like to change
Work towards healing and relief so that you can walk away empowered, confident, and free
